Summary

Luo Cheng led his cavalry towards Loufan Pass, sensing something unusual as enemy forces appeared to be retreating rather than engaging. Despite his suspicions, he ordered an attack. In the chaos, Turkish commander Mancha fought fiercely but was ultimately killed by Sui commander Wei Wen Tong, who then rallied his troops to push back the Turkish forces. As the Sui cavalry advanced, Kang Qiaoli realized the dire situation and ordered a retreat, but the Sui cavalry quickly targeted their horses, causing chaos at Loufan Pass.
