Summary

Li Wen Gui and his elder brother, Li Wen You, have historically kept their financial dealings separate, but tensions arise when Li Wen You starts the Li Ji Grain Shop and gives a 30% stake to Li Da Qi and his son, Li Yan Qing. Li Wen Gui feels betrayed and angry, believing his brother has favored Li Yan Qing, whom he does not respect. Upon returning home one evening, Li Wen Gui learns that Li Da Qi is waiting for him. He confronts Li Da Qi about a horse that was promised to his grandson but has been given to Li Yan Qing instead. Despite Li Da Qi's attempts to explain the situation, Li Wen Gui refuses to back down, insisting on the return of the horse and threatening to escalate the matter to the clan's ancestral hall if his demands are not met. Li Da Qi leaves feeling heavy-hearted, knowing that the clan rules would not favor him in this dispute. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing is unaware of the brewing conflict as he practices his studies, but he senses trouble when he sees his father with a new horse, realizing it may complicate matters further.
