Summary

Li Da Qi notices his son Li Yan Qing's discomfort regarding a horse that was offered to him. Despite the horse's impressive qualities, Li Yan Qing insists it should belong to his father, as he already has one. Li Da Qi reveals a troubling encounter with clan elder Li Wen Gui, who is using clan rules to pressure them into giving him the horse. Li Yan Qing, frustrated with the clan's hypocrisy, refuses to comply with Li Wen Gui's demands. He believes that yielding would only embolden Li Wen Gui. After a discussion, Li Da Qi reluctantly agrees to seek the clan chief's help. The next morning, he leaves for Anyang, leaving the horse for his son. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing continues his daily routine, unaffected by the horse incident, which seems to fade away as Li Wen Gui does not pursue the matter further. Later, during archery practice, Li Yan Qing showcases his talent, impressing his instructor Zhou Dong.
