Summary

In this chapter, Song Jun recalls the threat of Jin siege towers, which had previously breached city walls. Li Yan Qing recognizes their importance and offers a reward for a countermeasure. Craftsman Kong devises a thorny thunder bomb that can attach to and explode against the siege towers. This invention proves effective, destroying several siege towers as they approach the city. Despite heavy fighting, the Song army successfully defends Tokyo, inflicting significant casualties on the Jin forces. However, the war continues as a cavalry force led by Wan Yan Zong Han remains outside the city. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing learns of a plague in the Jin camp, prompting him to take precautions. He also discovers that the Bian River's water level has dropped, raising concerns about a potential Jin strategy.
