Summary

Liu Kang, a 17-year-old fire thunder thrower, skillfully uses a new fire weapon to destroy siege ladders of the Jin army, causing significant damage and boosting the morale of his fellow soldiers. Wanyan Lou Shi, a commander of the Jin army, orders the construction of additional siege ladders in response to this new threat. As the Jin army intensifies its assault with more troops and siege towers, they face heavy casualties from the Song army's thunderous bombs and ineffective catapult fire attacks. Li Yan Qing reflects on the lack of oil reserves in the inner city, which could have aided their defense. The battle escalates with a massive exchange of arrows, leading to thousands of Jin soldiers being killed. Despite the losses, the Jin army attempts another assault on the city. Meanwhile, Xu Ning discovers Jin soldiers preparing to use thunderous bombs and quickly organizes a counterattack, resulting in further casualties for the enemy as the battle continues.
