Chapter 75: Dispelling Misunderstandings. [76]
Summary
Li Su was taken to the Cheng Family's main hall, where he was greeted by Cheng Chumu, who left him alone after a brief encounter. Li Su attempted to escape but was stopped by a menacing guard. Cheng Chumu returned with his three brothers, who scrutinized Li Su, making him feel uneasy. Li Su revealed that he had been working on a movable-type printing technique and offered the formula to Cheng Chumu in exchange for sparing a shopkeeper's life. However, Cheng Chumu denied any involvement in the shop's destruction and became enraged when Li Su mentioned it. After Li Su explained the situation, Cheng Chumu listened intently and became determined to investigate further. He took the formula and discovered a drawing of a pig's head, which Li Su quickly reclaimed. Li Su attempted to leave, but Cheng Chumu carried him off to a banquet, insisting that he would not be leaving the Cheng Family's premises so easily.Full content
