Summary

Ning Wu Li's army attempts to cross the swollen Liao Shui river, but the current is too strong, and many rafts capsize, resulting in the loss of over half of the soldiers. Meanwhile, Luo Shi Xin leads a Sui army in ambush, attacking the Goguryeo soldiers and killing over 2,000 of them. Ning Wu Li is killed by Luo Shi Xin, and the remaining Goguryeo soldiers flee or surrender. Zhang Xuan arrives with 20,000 troops and orders the construction of a floating bridge using 3,000 prisoners. He also meets with Tu Di Qi, the leader of the Sumo Malgal, and praises their contribution to the conquest of New City, asking for their continued support in the campaign against Goguryeo.
