Chapter 714: Besieging Yan City. [719]
Summary
Luo Shi Xin successfully built a floating bridge for Zhang Xuan's army, which had grown to forty thousand men. As they advanced towards Yan City, they faced the Goguryeo forces, who were blocked by Suijun warships. Meanwhile, a grain convoy from Songmo City, protected by Khitan cavalry led by Taiga, encountered Suijun cavalry. A fierce battle ensued, resulting in Taiga's death and the defeat of the Khitan forces. After the battle, Pei Xingyan reported to Zhang Xuan, who was leading his troops and learned that the Goguryeo were besieged in Yan City. Zhang Xuan was informed of the Khitan's failed support and the Xianbei's assistance, prompting him to send a message to Su Zhi in Yan City.Full content
