Summary

Zhang Xuan mobilizes the Qingzhou army to attack after hearing about a military coup in Jiang Du, quickly occupying Huaiyang County. He strategizes to prevent Yu Wen Hua Ji from advancing north, deploying scouts along the Huai River. Inside the Sui army's well-preserved camp, Zhang Xuan discusses political matters with Li Jing and Fang Xuan Ling, recognizing the importance of maintaining the legitimacy of the Sui Dynasty against Li Yuan. Zhang Xuan plans to counter Zhai Rang's ambitions and decides to send Li Jing to deal with Wa Gang troops in Su Yu County. Meanwhile, Zhai Rang prepares to intercept Yu Wen Hua Ji but is faced with Zhang Xuan's forces. Zhai Hong, leading the Wa Gang troops, is enraged by a mockery from Sui soldiers and disregards warnings about a potential trap, charging out to confront them.
