Summary

In Chapter 49, Zhao Hong Run confronts four little officials involved in a cheating scheme during an examination. He coerces them into confessing and signing documents that could ruin their families if they betray him. In return for their cooperation, he promises to protect them and reward them with silver. The officials, fearing for their lives, agree to replace the cheating materials with Zhao's prepared white wax containing the correct answers.
