Summary

In the middle of the night, Li Yan Qing is awakened by urgent knocks from the innkeeper, who warns him of a large-scale search by the Liang Shan Jun for outsiders. Li Yan Qing and his companion, Zhou Wen Yuan, quickly gather their belongings and follow the innkeeper to hide at his sister's house. They learn that many outsiders have already been captured, and the situation is dire as the court prepares for war. The innkeeper promises to help Li Yan Qing find a Liang Shan Jun general named Hu Cheng. Later, the innkeeper returns with Hu Qing Er, Hu Cheng's daughter, who is initially displeased but agrees to help Li Yan Qing escape the city after he provides her with valuable martial arts techniques. She gives them armor to disguise themselves as soldiers for their escape.
