Summary

Zhang Xuan arrives at Fangshan with his army, where Pei Xingyan expresses regret for failing to capture Wang Bao. Zhang Xuan reassures him and discusses strategies with General Liu Chun Hao, who suggests that Wang Bao is likely fleeing to Dongping County. Zhang Xuan sends two captured guards of Wang Bao with a message offering surrender to the defenders. Meanwhile, the Jin brothers, in charge of Fangshan, debate surrendering or seizing the opportunity to claim the stronghold for themselves. Jin Tai, ambitious and confident, decides to prepare for battle against the Sui army, believing their fortifications can withstand the attack. As the Sui army approaches, the defenders rally under Jin Tai's promises of rewards, while Zhang Xuan's forces prepare to assault the well-fortified stronghold.
