Summary

Liu Chengfeng, following Ning Qiushui's guidance, discovers a spy wearing a bloody human skin, previously belonging to Mei Wen. As he confronts the spy, he attacks with blood-red scissors, but the spy, seemingly invulnerable, escapes despite being stabbed. Ning Qiushui and Liu Chengfeng learn from monk Fa Hua that the spy's torn kasaya prevents him from becoming a Buddha that night. They realize the temple is filled with demons obsessed with enlightenment, and if someone achieves it, the temple's rules would dissolve, leading to chaos. Fa Hua reassures them that no one will attain enlightenment today, but the ominous atmosphere lingers.
