Chapter 23: Naked Iron Armor. [24]
Summary
Ai Hui put on his custom-made steel armor, weighing around 200 pounds, to cultivate at the Golden Tower. The armor was designed to be sturdy and reliable, with a bare back to concentrate the pain from the Golden Wind. Ai Hui tried moving around and felt that it wasn't bad, despite being exhausted from carrying the heavy armor. He re-entered the Golden Tower and began to appreciate the benefits of the bareback armor, as the Golden Force couldn't penetrate the armor. Ai Hui's spirit was lifted, and he continued to cultivate, using the "Fish Back" technique against the outer wall. However, the added weight of the armor caused some minor injuries to his back muscles. After recovering, Ai Hui tried the "Fish Back" again and was directly blown away. He struggled to get up and continued to collide with the iron tower, determined to cultivate. Days passed, and Ai Hui's cultivation became a great test for his nerves. He sat down on the ground, too lazy to take off the armor, and removed the helmet. After sitting for over 20 minutes, his face regained some vitality, and he came back to his senses. Ai Hui devoured a dry pancake and realized that his bag was empty. He decided to take off the armor and hide it nearby, feeling as light as a feather without it. Ai Hui set off towards the city of Songxia, excited about the benefits of cultivating with the bareback armor. Meanwhile, Li Wei, a scholar, revisited his old haunts in Songxia and stumbled upon the Golden Tower, his usual cultivation spot 15 years ago. He became excited and quickened his footsteps, remembering his experiences cultivating at the Golden Tower. Li Wei stepped up the stairs, and every object, every blade of grass, and every tree seemed familiar to him. He moved forward, his hand caressing the tower wall, and countless memories flashed through his mind. However, his hand suddenly froze as he noticed something unusual.Full content
