Chapter 19: Maki's Anger and Misunderstanding. [18]

Summary

In Chapter 32, Sawayama Haruno rushes home after receiving a concerning call from Takashima Kazuki about his cousin, Maki Miyazawa. Expecting trouble, he is surprised to find MakiCalmly sitting with Kazuki, chatting and eating snacks. Though initially worried, it turns out there’s no issue with Maki; Kazuki simply needed Haruno to return home due to an urgent tenant registration inspection. Maki, annoyed by the assumption she caused trouble, feels an urge to retaliate against Haruno. After resolving the misunderstanding, Haruno invites Maki out for dinner, allowing her to choose the location. Maki strategically selects a restaurant connected to her sister Mana, hoping to transform the memories of Haruno and Mana into her own advantage. Determined to inflict emotional damage on Mana, Maki's demeanor shifts from annoyance to mischievous excitement. As they return home, Haruno reflects on the differences between Maki and her sister, pondering their opposing natures. He contemplates asking Maki about Mana’s time at the tutoring school, thinking she may shed light on why their relationship ended. Maki initially dismisses his curiosity but suddenly realizes that there may indeed be something relevant about the tutoring school that connects to their past.
