Chapter 20: Chapter 34 The Underlying Affections of Golden Week. [19]
Summary
In Chapter 34: The Burdened Maki, Sawayama Haruno seeks information from Maki Miyazawa about a female classmate of Maki's who attended Sen Dao Li's tutoring school and had asked about him. Maki recounts how this classmate was curious about Haruno and, after learning about his relationship with Mana, lost interest and cut ties with Maki. Haruno deduces that the timing of this inquiry coincides with the Golden Week, a pivotal time when Mana broke up with him. He presses Maki for details about the classmate's high school, believing this might help him understand the circumstances around his breakup with Mana. Maki is lazy and dismissive about helping but eventually negotiates a massage from Haruno in exchange for her help. As they prepare to go out for dinner, Maki dresses strikingly, presenting a devilish charm that intrigues Haruno. Though Maki feels conflicted about her feelings and intentions, she decides to take Haruno to a familiar restaurant, which he realizes is one Mana likely never visited with her. The chapter explores their dynamic, Maki's teasing nature, and hints at her deeper feelings for Haruno as they enter the restaurant despite her reluctance.Full content
