Tokyo: I Sheltered the Homeless girl (1-156).
Chapter 18: Love and Misunderstanding in the Mist. [17]
Summary
In this chapter, Mine Shiori declines an invitation from her classmate, Sawayama Haruno, and decides to go home due to a gloomy mood that only worsens with the threat of rain. While reflecting on her feelings during the train ride, she reveals her past connection with Haruno, which began over a year ago when they were both at the same private academy. Although she admired him from afar, her introverted nature prevented her from truly connecting with him or learning that he was dating another classmate, Mana Miyazawa. Haunted by regret over her missed opportunities to approach Haruno, Mine Shiori struggles with her emotions as she arrives home, ultimately resorting to an unsettling method to cope with her confusion and feelings of longing. Meanwhile, Sawayama Haruno attends his next class and contemplates his relationship with Mana Miyazawa, with whom he shared ambiguous moments. He texts Mana, asking about Mine Shiori, discovering that they are friends from the tutoring school. Realizing the connections and past complexities involving both girls, Haruno reflects on his breakup with Mana and Mines Shiori's motivations, feeling increasingly confused and frustrated by the unclear relationships. The chapter ends with a sense of urgency as Takashima Kazuki calls Haruno with alarming news that his cousin is in danger, prompting Haruno to return immediately.Full content
