Summary

Mei Lun encounters Jin Mao, a talented third-tier Doggie, but Jin Mao hesitates to join him and ultimately runs away. Mei Lun continues exploring underground, accompanied by Spike, Garu Lu, and Little Hong Lian, while they scout various passages filled with aggressive dog-headed beasts. A battle ensues with these creatures, and Mei Lun learns about the history of the Dog-headed Beasts, who devolved from a once-civilized race due to the loss of spirituality. As they descend further into the demon lair, the environment becomes increasingly hostile, and Mei Lun reflects on the survival of civilizations. After a week of exploration, they reach a magma river, where Jin Mao appears uneasy as they prepare to face a new group of third-stage Doggies.
