Chapter 12: An Odd Rule. [11]

Summary

Sun Ming drove while on a phone call via Bluetooth, guiding his friends Hou Zi and A Li to a small street. He stopped the car and saw Yuan Zhou already outside. Hou Zi and A Li arrived, and Sun Ming introduced them to his friend's shop, which only sold egg fried rice. The shop was quiet and peaceful, with a simple menu and reasonable prices. Yuan Zhou, the owner, was not very enthusiastic and didn't talk much unless necessary. He recommended a few dishes, and Sun Ming ordered them. As they waited for their food, Monkey and Alai chatted quietly, looking around the store with interest. Yuan Zhou served the egg fried rice, and Sun Ming explained that the shop didn't provide soup or side dishes. Hou Zi was dissatisfied, but Sun Ming assured him that the egg fried rice was worth the value. The price list showed that a serving of egg fried rice cost 188 RMB and was AA-rated. Hou Zi suspected that Sun Ming was trying to pull in customers for his brother.
