Map of the Kingdom's Warfare.
Chapter 1163: World War (Twenty-One). [1167]
Summary
After the Zhou army took control of Dunhuang County, Li Jing led his troops to capture Li Xun's accomplices, but two thousand of Li Xun's soldiers remained unaccounted for. Li Jing summoned the county magistrate, Jiu Zhong Wu, who admitted to knowing about Li Xun's plans but claimed he could not report them due to his low status. Li Jing offered him a chance to redeem himself by revealing the location of the hidden troops. Jiu Zhong Wu pointed out a concealed pasture on a map, where the soldiers were camped. Li Jing then ordered a guide, Zhang Lao Shi, to lead an attack on the camp. Qin Yong, the commander of the operation, planned an ambush with his troops. As night fell, the Zhou cavalry charged into the camp, catching the enemy off guard and calling for their surrender.Full content
