Summary

Shen Jiao finds a dagger on the ground and decides to keep it for self-defense, despite it being against the rules to accept gifts from men outside. She struggles to carry a pot of cold water and realizes she needs to practice her sword technique to strengthen her body. Upon seeing her reflection, Shen Jiao is startled and feels down, recalling how she broke the rules during mealtime. However, she cheers up, feeling free from the rules now that her nurse is not by her side. There is an urgent knocking at the door, and Shen Jiao sees her mother, Zhang Yu Mei, and her aunt, Shen Jia Yi, along with Shen Jia Yi's stepson, Shi Tie Jun.
