Summary

In a new city, Geng Shi Ba lay dying, urging his wife to choose between remarrying or remaining a widow. She, distressed by their poverty, chose survival over loyalty, which angered him. Upon his death, Geng Shi Ba found himself in a ghostly realm, confused and distressed about his mother’s future. He encountered a craftsman who suggested escaping from the Homeward Looking Platform. Together, they jumped to freedom. Geng Shi Ba returned home to find his corpse, miraculously revived after drinking water. His disdain for his wife grew, leading to an emotional rift between them, forever altering their relationship.
