Summary

In ancient Daichi, Zhang Lao Xiang Gong, a respected figure, faced tragedy when his family ignored his warnings and cooked meat on a boat, attracting a deadly tortoise monster that devoured them. Heartbroken, he vowed revenge and sought advice from monks, who feared the creature. Undeterred, Zhang forged a red-hot iron and successfully killed the monster, bringing peace to the river. Grateful locals built a shrine in his honor, worshipping him as the Water God, whose blessings seemed to protect travelers, ensuring their prayers were answered.
