Summary
In Lingyang, Zhu Er Dan, known for his audacity but slow studies, humorously accepted a challenge to retrieve the terrifying statue of Yama from the Ten Kings Hall. To everyone's shock, he returned with Yama, who later visited him in person, leading to a friendship built over drinks and discussions. Yama replaced Zhu's dull heart with a clever one, drastically improving his intellect and allowing him to top the provincial examination. Zhu then asked Yama to enhance his wife's appearance, leading to a gruesome exchange where Yama decapitated her and replaced her head with that of a beautiful woman, transforming her into a beauty while leaving behind a shocking reminder of the act.Full content
