Volume 1: Strange Tales - Chapter 1: Dog Intercourse. [19]

Summary

In ancient Qing Zhou City, a traveling merchant's long absences left his gentle wife feeling lonely. To cope, she developed an inappropriate bond with their large white dog. When the merchant finally returned, he was unexpectedly attacked by the dog, leading to his death. The community, outraged, sought justice, but the woman remained silent during her interrogation. The dog later displayed inappropriate behavior in court, further implicating her. As the spectacle drew crowds, corrupt officers exploited the situation for profit. Ultimately, both the woman and the dog were sentenced to a brutal execution, highlighting the absurdity and darkness of human nature.
