Summary

The story follows a young Yan clan member who, despite being poor and slow-witted, becomes a successful scholar through the support of his wife, Shi Yi. Disguised as a man, she encourages his studies and helps him achieve academic success. He eventually becomes a high-ranking official, reaching fourth place in the celestial realm's examinations. Later, he reveals to his sister-in-law that he is actually a woman who lived as a man to support her husband's career.
