Summary

After the Dragon Boat Festival, the weather grew hotter, making life difficult for students at the county academy. To repel mosquitoes, they used mugwort ropes, a common remedy, while wealthier families opted for incense burners and luxurious mosquito nets. Li Yan Qing, focused on his studies, was annoyed by the buzzing mosquitoes. The magpie, trying to help, waved a mugwort rope but soon left to find food. Li Yan Qing learned that his friends Wang Gui and Tang Huai were training outdoors, suffering from mosquito bites.
