Summary

In a desert setting, a young man stands beside an off-road vehicle, observing a hungry Fei Zhou Bao (leopard) while fending off horned vipers with military knives. After a tense encounter, he escapes into the vehicle, only to return later to find the leopard injured from a snake bite. The leopard, a mother nursing her cubs, succumbs to its injuries. The young man buries the leopard and discovers three hungry cubs, deciding to care for them despite his reluctance. He returns to the village, where the villagers recognize him as a guardian figure, and he instructs them to care for the cubs until he can release them back into the wild.
