The Grand Wei Court.

Chapter 95: The Race of Pursuit and Escape. [94]

Summary

In Yan Ling City, the Wei Army, led by Zhao Hong Run, Wang Shu, and Ma Zhang, retreats northward as they are pursued by the Chu soldiers. Zhao Hong Run reassures his men that they can outrun the Chu soldiers by discarding their flags and equipment to lighten their load. The Chu soldiers, distracted by the flags, hesitate to pursue. As the Wei soldiers drop their weapons and armor, their speed increases, allowing them to escape. However, smoke rises from Yan Ling, indicating a potential fire set by the Wei, leading to concerns about the city being left in ruins. Zhao Hong Run decides to follow fleeing citizens towards An Ling, while Chu General Shen Kang contemplates seizing An Ling instead of extinguishing the fire.
