Summary

Qian Er alerts him to activity in the stone chamber, where dark eggs are rolling, hinting at emerging mantises. After a day of anticipation, the eggs crack, revealing small, brown mantises that quickly consume their shells. Despite initial disappointment, the mantises display surprising hunting skills, swiftly capturing birds mid-air. The scene turns gruesome as they devour the birds entirely. After their meal, the mantises settle on Miao Yi, disappearing into his clothes, leaving him astonished by their ferocity.
