Summary

Zhang Xuan decides to leave the Lu family's estate but realizes he might encounter Lu Qing at the main gate, prompting him to take the west gate instead. However, he quickly becomes lost in the estate's complex layout, wandering into the inner quarters. While hiding, he overhears Lu Qing and her cousin Lu Yun discussing their feelings about martial arts and a potential marriage proposal from the Cui family, which troubles him. After finding the west gate, he hesitates to leave, feeling conflicted about avoiding confrontation with Cui Wen Xiang. Luo Cheng and Lu Yuanqing find him and bring him to meet important generals, including Yu Ju Luo, who requests the Purple Worm Jade Pupas from Zhang Xuan. Just as Zhang Xuan agrees, Yu Wen Shu arrives, furious to see him, and threatens to kill him.
