Summary

Li Cheng Hao's 10,000 iron cavalry arrives at the desolate Bo Le City, facing dwindling supplies. After capturing a man claiming to be a runaway slave, he learns that the Song army has moved supplies and thousands of slaves south. Encouraged, Li Cheng Hao orders his cavalry to pursue. They enter Qinggang Canyon, where the Song army has set an ambush. As the Western Xia cavalry passes through, the Song army launches a surprise attack with crossbows and iron fire thunders, causing chaos and heavy casualties. Realizing he has been tricked by the supposed slave, Li Cheng Hao hesitates to retreat but ultimately decides to charge forward, unaware of the further traps set by the Song army.
