Summary

Mei Lun quickly defeats a dozen shadow monsters but realizes he hasn't gained any spiritual energy, indicating they may not be truly eliminated. He evades further attacks, opting to camp for safety as nighttime assaults intensify. Using holy shots proves effective against the monsters, but the constant skirmishes wear him and his companions down. Eventually, a powerful Iron Armored Dragon Lizard and numerous shadow monsters attack. Spike evolves during the battle and defeats the lizard, but before they can celebrate, the remaining shadow monsters detonate, teleporting Mei Lun away from Spike and little Hong Lian. Mei Lun, now separated, assesses his situation and prepares to reunite with his companions, who are also making their way towards him. Spike, in a rampage, rushes through obstacles to reach Mei Lun, while little Hong Lian's situation remains mysterious.
