Summary

Wu Zhuo, formerly the magistrate of Jiang Du and now Tong Pan in Yangzhou, is waiting for Grand Commander Li Yan Qing at an inn. Despite his power, he is anxious due to Li Yan Qing's authority as Imperial Censor, which poses a threat to his position. Tensions rise when Mo Jun reveals that Wu Zhuo's son has offended Li Yan Qing, leading to severe consequences for them. Li Yan Qing, aware of Wu Zhuo's family's connections and the political machinations at play, plans to use the situation to eliminate Wu Zhuo and his son, viewing their downfall as beneficial for his own power. News of Wu Zhuo's son's punishment spreads quickly, turning public sentiment against them. The next day, Wu Zhuo is arrested by soldiers under Li Yan Qing's orders, who accuses him of embezzlement. Despite Wu Zhuo's protests and curses, he is taken away in disgrace, with plans for his demise already set in motion by Han Bao Lin.
