Summary

Mei Lun prepares to seek his mentor, You Ni Ka, after a series of unsettling events. Just as he resolves to leave, Jia Nuo unexpectedly appears, instructing him to go to Fan Hua Town the next day at exactly 11 o'clock. After Jia Nuo disappears, Mei Lun contemplates his journey with his companions, Little Hong Lian and Spike, and decides to meditate instead of sleeping. The following morning, he leaves the academy, stops at Jia Nuo's farm, and finds it abandoned and shrouded in a green mist. Guided by a familiar feeling, he discovers a hidden basement containing a green sphere, which he learns is a "Corrupted Dog," a transcendent item with life qualities. Just as he decides to take it, Jia Nuo and Lanny appear. Jia Nuo encourages him to take the item, which transforms into a ring on Mei Lun's finger. This ring grants him poison immunity and the ability to control toxins. After leaving the farm, Mei Lun reflects on the potential consequences of his actions and begins to prepare for his journey to Fan Hua Town, waiting at the designated location as the clock approaches 11 o'clock.
