Summary

Wu Mian, after a long absence from his brother, discovers a hidden elixir of immortality in a cave. As he searches for a map location, he injures himself in a trap. Rescued by Lin Huo and his villagers, Wu Mian is cared for and befriends Lin Huo. The Miao people treat him well, and he learns about their customs. After three months of recovery, Lin Huo invites him to participate in a traditional ceremony honoring the Witch Ancestor, a deity revered in their culture. Wu Mian reluctantly agrees to join, intrigued by the festivities and the role of the Witch Ancestor in the community.
