Chapter 77: The War Of Dragon and Lion (Part 4). [697]
Summary
1. Nearly a hundred warships are being repaired 1.5 light-years from Ai Lun Xing, with a mysterious silver fleet having taken the severely damaged ships. Zheng Bo Shi is astonished by Shao Shuai's vast reserves of original liquid, which can energize all ships, including captured ones. He worries about the lack of crew for newly captured warships and the urgency of recruiting soldiers from Xin Ni Ya. 2. Shao Shuai has been mysteriously absent, raising concerns about his potential connections with powerful allies. Zheng Bo Shi meets Yue Chen and representatives from the Workers' Party, including Meng Ping and Huo Wu, who are unaware of recent events. Zheng Bo Shi downplays the situation, claiming a victory over the Shuang Gui fleet, which shocks the representatives. 3. Meng Ping suggests that the agreement for Yue Chen to take over Ai Lun Xing should be voided now that the Shuang Gui threat is eliminated. Yue Chen agrees but is curious about the Shuang Gui's interest in Ai Lun Xing. Meng Ping insists on sending Huo Wu back home to help the oppressed, despite her desire to stay with Yue Chen. 4. Yue Chen acknowledges the importance of sending Huo Wu back to resolve misunderstandings between the Workers' Party and the merchant alliance. Huo Wu feels her fate is sealed, and Meng Ping arranges for her escort home. The atmosphere becomes harmonious, but Huo Wu shows disinterest at the farewell ball, preferring to return to her cabin early. Yue Chen reflects on the complexities of their situation and Huo Wu's priorities.Full content
