Summary

In a desolate night, Chen Wei, plagued by insomnia, reflects on his year-long journey, collecting fragments of the Primordial Mysterious Fire. Facing numerous powerful monsters, he realizes the difficulty of heading west and decides to stay in Baoxiang Kingdom to seek nearby fragments. Suddenly, he is captured by demon waiters, who also have his senior brother, Sha Wu Jing. Confused by their motives, Chen Wei speculates on the nature of their kidnapping, pondering the implications of demons capturing other demons. The waiters are following the orders of the Wolf King, a powerful half-demon, whose decree ensures they do not cause harm unnecessarily.
