Summary

As dawn broke, Yan City was submerged, leaving only the city walls visible. Eulji Mundeok and General Yuan Gai Su Wen discussed their dire situation, contemplating surrender to the Sui army. Despite differing opinions, Eulji decided to surrender, while Yuan sought to resist. Tensions escalated when Yuan led a brutal attack on surrendering soldiers, resulting in a chaotic and bloody infighting. Ultimately, Yuan was cornered and took his own life, leaving Eulji to face the approaching Sui ships with only a fraction of his soldiers remaining. The Goguryeo army faced near annihilation, with three thousand soldiers surrendering, marking the end of their invasion.
