Summary

In a chance encounter, a scholar gifts Miao Yi a valuable item, hinting at a deeper connection. The scholar, who exhibits odd behaviors and a fear of dirt, destroys three out of five precious 'Xinghua' herbs, leaving Miao Yi with two. Despite his excitement, Miao Yi is wary of the scholar's intentions. As he collects the herbs, he encounters a massive Nether Mantis, which captures him and unexpectedly saves him from a fall. After a harrowing experience, Miao Yi finds himself outside a familiar ancient city, bewildered by his escape from the misty realm. A woman recognizes him, linking him to his family, as he emerges looking disheveled.
