Chapter 68: Exchange of Handmaidens?. [67]

Summary

In a poetry gathering, misunderstandings arise regarding a scholar's character, leading to mixed feelings among attendees. Zeng Zui Mo feels anger towards the scholar, Li Yi, while Wan Ruo Qing observes his peculiar interest in food over poetry. Li Yi, disdainful of the praised verses, encounters a young man who attempts to trade his maid, Little Huan, for two others. The young man, son of a magistrate, subtly threatens Li Yi, but Li Yi remains unfazed.
