Entering Dao from Infancy

Chapter 66: Bonds of Friendship [65]

Summary

Cang Yu City is home to three major families: the Liu, Qi, and Zhao families. The Liu family, established for over a century, leads the others. The Qi family, a recent branch from another city, has also gained influence. News of a demon attack shocks the families, as Cang Yu City hasn't faced such an event in nearly a hundred years. They learn that a large number of demons, estimated at forty to fifty thousand, are approaching from the north, led by a powerful demon. As the city prepares for defense, panic ensues among the citizens, with many closing shops and packing valuables. The city lord, Yue Shu Hong, reflects on his past and his relationship with a demon named Tiger Robe. Tiger Robe reveals that the attack on Cang Yu City is part of a larger scheme targeting the Xia Jia family. He urges Yue to open the northern city gate for a chance at survival, suggesting that the destruction of Cang Yu City is inevitable. The chapter concludes with the arrival of Li Hao, who has returned to the city.
