Chapter 64: Memorial Ceremony [63]

Summary

Li Hao discovers seven survivors shackled in a cave after defeating a bear demon. He frees them, but they remain in a state of fear and confusion. While they struggle to regain their senses, Li Hao takes a moment to honor his deceased mentor by creating an altar from demon corpses and pouring wine over it. Afterward, he sets out to eliminate more demons, swiftly slaying tens of thousands with his demon-slaying sword, leaving a trail of blood across the mountain range. Meanwhile, Song Yue Yao, a Divine Soul inspector, investigates the Black Wind Mountain Range and senses a significant demonic presence. As she explores deeper, she is shocked to find numerous demon corpses, realizing that someone has been killing them. Upon reaching the mountain's peak, she discovers a platform of dead powerful demons, all slain recently. She encounters the survivors, who mistake her for a threat, revealing their trauma. As she searches for the killer, she finds a young man in demon-slaying attire, standing amidst a clearing filled with the bodies of ape demons.
