Summary

Yang Guang awakens in a grand hall, surrounded by his family, as tensions rise with Sima Dekan and Pei Qintong, who confront him about his failures as emperor. Sima accuses Yang Guang of neglecting his duties, leading to the downfall of the Sui Dynasty, and declares he has come to escort him to his death. Yang Guang pleads for the safety of his family before ultimately consuming Crane-Top Red poison, choosing to end his own life. Meanwhile, Yu Wen Hua Ji plots the execution of various officials and prepares to establish a new regime. After confirming Yang Guang's death, he manipulates the situation to appoint the imbecilic Prince Qin Yang Hao as the new emperor, positioning himself as the power behind the throne. The officials, mourning the loss of their ruler, are forced to accept the new order, marking the end of the Sui Dynasty as they bow to the new puppet emperor.
