Summary

Cui Fan informs Li Hao that only a Demon Subduer can check the entire area, but he agrees to assist them in their demon-slaying quest. He leads them to a room with a map and records of recent demon activity. Meanwhile, a wealthy woman, pregnant and kind-hearted, decides to exempt farmers from taxes due to their suffering from demon calamities. However, she encounters a horrific demon that emerges from her womb, leading to her tragic demise. Song Yueyao, a skilled demon slayer, arrives just in time to confront the monster, ultimately killing it but finding the woman dead. The woman's husband is devastated upon learning of her death. Later, Song Yueyao discusses the alarming rise in demon activity with city guard Yue Shu Hong, who reveals that a major demon is attempting to unite smaller demons to attack Cang Yu City. They consider contacting the Xia family for assistance, but Song Yueyao decides to investigate the situation herself first.
