Chapter 6: Granting Favor (Part 3) [Revised]. [11]

Summary

Liu De successfully brought Liu Yan back to the palace, where he encountered Wang Dao, a loyal eunuch from his past life. Liu De reminisced about their struggles, especially during his last year of oppression. He asked Liu Yan to co-sign a memorial to their father, aware of the risks involved. Liu De reflected on the dangers of offending the current emperor, who had a history of punishing those who displeased him. Despite the risks, Liu De began writing the memorial, confident in his skills. He also contemplated his past invention of white paper, which he hoped to recreate. After writing several hundred words, he proudly presented the memorial to Liu Yan for review.
