Summary

Yan Qing discovers a hidden enemy camp with around 20,000 to 30,000 Liao troops after climbing a tree in a deep forest. He reports this to his commander and receives orders to burn down the camp. Yan Qing leads his fifty elite scouts to execute the plan. As they set fire to the tents, chaos ensues in the Liao camp, prompting General Xiao Gan to command a retreat. However, the fire spreads rapidly, causing significant casualties among his troops. Li Yan Qing, waiting outside the forest with his army, realizes too late that the Liao forces have cleverly escaped, suffering heavy losses in the process. Ultimately, the Song army achieves a great victory, inflicting 10,000 casualties on the Liao troops. Two days later, news arrives that Ye Lu Da Shi has dealt a crushing blow to another enemy force, further strengthening the Song army's position.
