Summary
Zhao Tiezhu, known for his bravery, chose 200 soldiers to protect civilians during a retreat. The soldiers debated whether to stay and fight or leave for their families, ultimately agreeing to stay behind to help others. Moved by their loyalty, Zhao Tiezhu led them back to defend Kang Le Village against Dong Fu's forces. He sacrificed 20 young soldiers to take war horses for the fleeing civilians, ensuring their survival. Zhao Tiezhu and his men fought valiantly for two and a half days but were ultimately killed, with Zhao's head displayed as a warning. After the war, he was honored by Emperor Zhao Zhen, and his legacy continued through his descendants. In the meantime, Dong Zhan, overconfident in his numbers, attacked Xizhou but faced fierce resistance from Wang Shao, who had fortified the city. Despite heavy casualties, Dong Zhan hesitated to withdraw but received news of another breakthrough that could lead to victory.
