Summary

Gao Shi Xuan hesitates over his orders as he fears Li Yan Qing's exceptional archery skills. When Li Yan Qing and 3,000 soldiers confront him, he struggles to maintain control as many of his troops defect to Li Yan Qing's side. Despite his protests, 8,000 of his 10,000 men abandon him, leading to a confrontation where he is ultimately disarmed by Cao Meng and forced to retreat. Meanwhile, in Yi County, Xiao Yu Qing leads a breakout of 700 cavalry from the besieged city, exploiting a gap in the Song forces' defense. Xin Xing Zong, the Song commander, is caught off guard by the breakout but quickly realizes the opportunity to attack Yi County. After the gates are opened and officials surrender, Tong Guan orders a brutal crackdown on the Khitan defenders, intending to report a significant victory to the court.
