Summary

Zhong Shi Dao is pleased with Li Yan Qing's report of a successful early advance and the surrender of Guo Yao Shi's army to the Great Song Dynasty. After discussing the unexpected turn of events with Zhang Shu Ye and Zhong Shi Zhong, they decide to send troops to welcome Guo Yao Shi and his surrendered soldiers to prevent Tong Guan from intervening. Li Yan Qing efficiently escorts Guo Yao Shi and his troops, who formally surrender to Zhong Shi Dao upon arrival. Guo Yao Shi explains that he had to leave some of his troops behind due to Liao state orders. He expresses a desire to enter the capital to meet the Emperor, believing it will be beneficial for the court's understanding of the Liao state. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing leads his forces toward Fanyang County, concerned about potential threats from Xiao Gan and Tong Guan, and decides to advance quickly to secure the area.
